Wrong-medication picks are a constant risk. The Drug Station only opens the shutter for the correct medication’s location and size, so staff can’t grab the wrong tray even by accident.You can’t prove a pick was correct after the fact. Every pick is weighed and fraction-counted through image processing, giving you a data trail for each dispense instead of relying on memory.
Inexperienced staff slow down picking. Because the right tray comes to the operator automatically, picking speed and accuracy stay consistent whether the person doing it is a pharmacist or not.
A power outage shouldn’t stop your pharmacy. The Drug Station includes a laptop and a battery-powered journal printer, so staff can keep picking manually from a printed tray list until power comes back.
